Kathmandu: UK in Nepal congratulated Priyanka Gurung, the Chevening Scholar currently studying Environment, Politics and Development at SOAS University of London, who has recently been awarded the Chevening Volunteering Award. On top of her studies, she volunteered at an Oxfam shop.
Priyanka said, “ I’m grateful to Chevening for encouraging scholars to give back to the communities they become part of. One of the most memorable experiences for me has been volunteering at an Oxfam Shop. Whether it was engaging with customers, sorting donations, or helping keep the shop running, every shift brought new conversations, different perspectives, and moments of kindness that have stayed with me.”
