Kathmandu: UN ECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa held his third monthly meeting with President of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock on January 9. During the meeting, they underscored the importance of aligning the priorities of the General Assembly and ECOSOC, deepening collaboration between the two Presidencies, and strengthening coordination to address complex global challenges.
The discussions also covered the UN80 Initiatives and preparations for upcoming engagements, including the Joint PGA–ECOSOC Briefing scheduled for January 20 and the ECOSOC80 Commemoration to be held on January 23.
