Kathmandu: The UN Assistant Secretary-General and UN Women Deputy Executive Director, Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, held a courtesy meeting with Sita Badi, Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens, reaffirming shared commitments to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in Nepal.
In discussions with Minister Badi, the conversation highlighted inclusion, representation, and the importance of addressing barriers faced by women and children from marginalized communities, including sexual harassment and human trafficking.
The discussion also focused on the Ministry’s leadership in the CEDAW Roadmap.
