Kathmandu: Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, UN Assistant Secretary-General and UN Women Deputy Executive Director, came to Nepal and were welcomed by UN Women Nepal. She was welcomed by Christine Arab, Regional Director of UN Women Asia Pacific and Patricia-Fernandez Pacheco, Country Representative of UN Women Nepal.
During her visit, UN Women will engage with the Government of Nepal, development partners, civil society and women’s rights organizations, private sector, media and programme participants to strengthen collaboration and advance gender equality and women’s empowerment.
UN Women Nepal stated that this visit marks an important opportunity for UN Women to strengthen partnerships & progress on gender equality, together with government, civil society & communities in Nepal.
