Kathmandu: UN ECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa had a meeting with H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, President of the General Assembly as president Thapa concluded his presidency of UNECOSOC.
President Thapa stated it was an honor working with Baerbock throughout the year, and he appreciated close cooperation and regular exchanges during the 80th session. We reflected on the important milestones achieved, including the successful HLPF, and ongoing institutional processes such as the UN80 initiative, Thapa stated, adding they also reaffirmed the importance for strengthening multilateralism and accelerating implementation of the 2030 Agenda and SDGs.
