Kathmandu: For the International Day of the Midwife, UNFPA joined the Ministry of Health and Population’s Nursing Division to celebrate the midwives and nurses at the heart of Nepal’s health system.
Senior government officials came together with health professionals to honour the dedication, skill, and compassion of midwives and nurses serving communities across the country, including in the most remote corners of Nepal.
The organization stated that Midwives and nurses save lives every day and they are there at the very first breath and they walk alongside women and families through some of life’s most vulnerable moments.
