Kathmandu: US Assistant Secretary Paul Kapur wrapped up a productive visit to Nepal on April 22. He held high-level meetings with Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, and Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

In these meetings he discussed deepening the U.S.-Nepal partnership and expanding commercial ties. He shared ideas on U.S. investment opportunities with Nepal’s delegation to the upcoming SelectUSA Investment Summit and convened U.S. and Nepali private sector partners to explore further collaboration in Nepal’s growing and dynamic tech sector. He also experienced Nepal’s rich history and culture by visiting Boudhanath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square, sites that the United States helped preserve via the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation.
