Kathmandu: US Embassy Nepal, in partnership with Nepal Police and APF Nepal, successfully concluded Police Week 2026. This event highlighted the importance the United States places on the strong partnership with Nepal’s law enforcement agencies.
Inaugurated by Charge d’Affaires Christopher Reynolds, IGP of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki, IGP of Armed Police Force, Nepal Narayan Datta Poudyal and Regional Security Officer Wilbert Vaughn, the celebration week began with a 5K Run.
Participants from the embassy joined Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal in events including 5K, 10K, and 20K runs, cycling, hiking, football, and a law enforcement exhibition.
The closing ceremony attended by the Charge d’Affaires Reynolds and senior leadership from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal marked the successful conclusion of a meaningful week of engagement.
The US Embassy stated that the week underscored the United States’ commitment to strengthening cooperation and the Embassy’s gratitude to Nepal’s law enforcement personnel for their dedicated service in safeguarding the community.
In the United States, throughout Police Week, they honor the sacrifices of our law enforcement community and the families who stand beside them.
