Kathmandu: WFP Nepal hosted Simon Ernst, Australian Ambassador to Nepal, together with Lila Pieters Yahia, UN Resident Coordinator, UNFPA Nepal, ILO Nepal, and UNDP Nepal at the Humanitarian Staging Area in Kathmandu.
They stated that Australia’s partnership with WFP Nepal has been instrumental in building and strengthening Nepal’s preparedness and logistics capacity, ensuring that response is swift and effective when emergencies occur.
Ambassador Ernst said Australia is working with development partners to help build DRR capability in Nepal.
