Kathmandu: World Food Programme (WFP) Nepal, in collaboration with Finnish and Norwegian Embassy, helped deliver locally sourced school meals to the remote communities in Nepal. This has helped empower smallholder farmers and protect the environment in these communities through clean energy solutions.
The Finnish Embassy stated that Tatopani municipality has developed a menu for the school week for all its 29 schools. The ingredients come from the local farmers. The farmers have established a cooperative that distributes vegetables to schools and the local market.
