World Bank Director Sislen Meets with Health Minister Mehta

Kathmandu: David Sislen, World Bank Director, held an important courtesy meeting with Nisha Mehta, Minister for Health, Population, and Drinking Water, at the Ministry on May 6. 

In the meeting, intensive discussions were held on strengthening health insurance, maximum use of digital technology, skilled manpower management, building climate-resilient infrastructure and improving water and sanitation (WASH) in hospitals.

On the occasion, Director Sislen, on behalf of the World Bank, expressed the government’s 100-point roadmap and commitment to continuous partnership in priority areas. Minister Mehta expressed her gratitude for the financial and technical support provided by the World Bank in building Nepal’s health strategic plan and quality health system, and expressed the view that the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Health are fully ready for further cooperation in the future.
