Kathmandu: The new Executive Committee of Independent Power Producers Association of Nepal (IPPAN) called on H.E. Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal. The IPPAN delegation appreciated growing cross border electricity trade between India and Nepal, majority of which is supplied from private sector hydropower projects.
Ambassador Srivastava emphasized India-Nepal hydropower cooperation potential in the light of the Agreement for Long Term Power Trade signed in 2024 under which to import up to 10000 MW power by 2034 is envisaged.
