Kathmandu: The Embassy of India in Kathmandu hosted distinguished Nepali alumni of Indian law institutions on August 9. Rt. Hon’ble Chief Justice of Nepal, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, an alumnus of an Indian law institution, graced the function as the Chief Guest. The event saw participation of Hon’ble Justices of the Supreme Court of Nepal, senior members of the judiciary, former Attorney Generals, distinguished members of the legal fraternity and academia, and young legal professionals.
H.E. Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal, highlighted the enduring value of alumni networks in further strengthening Nepal-India relations. The event also featured launch of the Association of Nepali Alumni of Indian Law Institutions. This Association will provide a platform for deepening collaboration in the legal and educational domains and reinforcing the longstanding friendship between India and Nepal, according to Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
