Kathmandu: H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates and the accompanying delegation paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Shisir Khanal, at the Ministry on July 9.
During the meeting, the two Ministers exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates across a range of areas of mutual interest, including greater cooperation in trade, investment, AI, digital transformation, tourism, labour migration, infrastructure, renewable energy as well as increased Sovereign Wealth Fund investment in priority sectors.
Minister Khanal underscored the enduring friendship and growing cooperation between the two countries while highlighting the Government of Nepal’s aspiration to make the upcoming Golden Jubilee celebration of diplomatic relations a major milestone by securing UAE investment in various projects in Nepal.
The Minister also urged the UAE Government to remove the requirement of further verification of the Police Report after attestation by the Department of Consular Services.
