Kathmandu: Ambassador, Lok Bahadur Thapa, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations, met with H.E. Jihoon Cha, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea, at the Mission on September 19.
Ambassador Cha conveyed heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives and property caused by Nepal’s catastrophic flash floods. Ambassador Thapa expressed gratitude for the Republic of Korea’s immediate support and solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal during these trying times.
Both the ambassadors discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the impacts of climate change, and shared priorities, including upholding the international rule of law, advancing sustainable development, and strengthening multilateralism.
They also exchanged views on further enhancing cooperation at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
