Kathmandu: BIMSTEC Secretary General Indra Mani Pandey has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Bala Nanda Sharma (Lt. Gen. Retd.) on his recent appointment as Nepal’s Foreign Minister.
In his message, Secretary General Pandey expressed optimism about Nepal’s role in promoting regional collaboration under the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC). He highlighted the importance of continued partnership among member states to address shared challenges and strengthen economic, social, and cultural ties in the region.
Secretary General Pandey reaffirmed BIMSTEC’s commitment to supporting Nepal’s initiatives and looks forward to close coordination with the new Foreign Minister to advance regional cooperation and mutual development goals.
