BIMSTEC to Promote Collaboration of South Asia and South-East Asia, says Minister Rana

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister of Nepal Arzu Rana Deuba addressed the 20^th BIMSTEC Ministerial Meeting on April 3, 2025, on the margins of the 6^th BIMSTEC summit.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Foreign Minister Deuba underscored the important role of BIMSTEC to promote collaboration of South Asia and South-East Asia for building a prosperous, resilient and open Bay of Bengal region.

The Foreign Minister also signed the BIMSTEC Agreement on Maritime Transport Cooperation, which is crucial for promoting maritime connectivity and trade, on behalf of the Government of Nepal in a special ceremony, the Ministry reported.
