Kathmandu: Zhang Maoming, Ambassador of China to Nepal, paid a courtesy call to Nisha Mehta, Minister for Health and Food Security, at the Ministry on June 1.
During the meeting, they discussed the long-standing close relations between the two countries. Honorable Minister Mehta appreciated the Government of China’s help to Nepal in all good and bad times and support in various projects in the health sector. She also expressed best wishes for the newly appointed ambassador. Minister Mehta said that Nepal will also learn and work from China’s admirable development.
H.E. Ambassador Zhang congratulated the government formed with a great mandate of Nepal and expressed his wishes for the tenure of this government to make great strides in the economic and social development of Nepal. The Chinese government expressed its willingness to cooperate in the priority areas of the Nepalese government. Ambassador Zhang made a proposal for capacity building and technical assistance in various fields of traditional medicine system, public health, infrastructure and food hygiene.
