Kathmandu: Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai landed in Lisbon on February 19, leading a Nepali delegation to co-chair the First Meeting of the Nepal–Portugal Bilateral Consultation Mechanism.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal on February 20, 2026. The consultation marks an important step in strengthening diplomatic engagement and expanding cooperation between Nepal and Portugal.
Foreign Secretary Rai was warmly received at the airport by Prakash Mani Poudel, Ambassador of Nepal to Portugal.
The bilateral consultation is expected to review the overall state of relations and explore avenues for enhanced collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
