Former President Bhandari Meets Chinese Vice President Han Zheng in Gansu

KATHMANDU: Former President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Saturday during her ongoing visit to China. The meeting has been described as a key engagement during her visit.

Bhandari, who has been in China since May 20, earlier held talks with Liu Jianchao, Head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, among other officials.

She is accompanied by a delegation comprising leaders from the CPN-UML, including Commerce Minister Damodar Bhandari, Party Secretary and Head of the Foreign Affairs Department Raghubir Mahaseth, Standing Committee Member Karna Bahadur Thapa, and leaders Devi Bhattachan, Goma Devkota, Dr. Kailash Bhandari, Bhesh Bahadur Adhikari, and Mahendra Bista.
