Kathmandu: German Ambassador to Nepal, Udo Volz, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Sudha Gautam, Minister of Health and Population. The meeting focused on shared priorities between the Government of Nepal and the German Development Cooperation (GDC) in the health sector.
Discussions covered areas such as strengthening National Health Insurance, enhancing quality infrastructure in the pharmaceutical sector, improving mother and child health, and promoting gender and social inclusion.
Representatives from GIZ Nepal, KfW, and PTB, the three implementing agencies of GDC, also attended the meeting. Ambassador Volz expressed appreciation for the longstanding cooperation between GDC and Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population.
