Kathmandu: ICIMOD Director General Dr. Pema Gyamtsho led a delegation to meet Ambassador from China to Nepal, H.E. Zhang Maoming of the people’s Republic of China to Nepal on 11 September.
During the visit, ICIMOD offered heartfelt condolences for the lives lost and the destruction caused by the Rasuwa-Gyirong disaster, and thanked china for its continued support to the work of ICIMOD.
The meeting also focused on strengthening regional cooperation, in particular in managing transboundary disaster risks. Ambassador Maoming offered valuable insights and reaffirmed china’s continued support for ICIMOD’s mission in the region.
