Kathmandu: A team from the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) successfully rescued a common leopard from the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal, in coordination with the Nepal Police and the Division Forest Office, Lalitpur.
The rescued leopard is a four-year-old male weighing around 60 kilograms and is currently receiving treatment at the Central Zoo.
According to NTNC, during the last fiscal year, the Central Zoo team rescued 48 mammals, 181 birds, 11 reptiles, and one fish species in and around the Kathmandu Valley.
The Embassy of Switzerland expressed gratitude to the NTNC, Nepal Police, and the Division Forest Office for their effective teamwork and coordination during the rescue operation.
