Kathmandu: The Ministerial Conference on ending violence against children in South Asia was inaugurated in Colombo. The event was graced by the Hon. Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. The Conference was co-hosted by the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA), the World Health Organization Regional Offices for South-East Asia (WHO SEARO) and the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO EMRO), and the Office of the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General on Violence Against Children (OSRSG-VAC).
The gathering is elevating the ending violence against children agenda across the region.
