Nepal’s Consulate General in San Francisco to Begin Services from September 22

Kathmandu: The Consulate General of Nepal in San Francisco has announced that it will begin providing consular services from September 22, 2025.

Services to be provided include passport applications, official visas, consular verification, and one-way travel permits. Coordination is ongoing with relevant agencies for visa and Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) identity card-related services, with start dates to be announced later through public notice.

The newly installed ePassport Application System will initially operate in a testing phase, during which only a limited number of passport applications will be accepted daily. The quota will be increased once the system runs smoothly. The Consulate has requested that only applicants with expired passports and urgent needs to apply in the first few days.
