Kathmandu: Nepal recorded a convincing 5–0 victory over Maldives in the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship underway in Bangkok, Thailand.
In their second match of the tournament played on January 15 at the Futsal Arena of Hua Mak Stadium, the Nepali national women’s futsal team delivered a strong performance. Jennifer Rana Magar scored two goals, while Bimala Chaudhary and Manisha Thapa Magar added one goal each. Maldives also conceded an own goal.
Nepal scored four goals in the first half and added one more in the second half to secure a comfortable win in the group-stage match.
