Kathmandu: Lila Pieters Yahia, the newly appointed United Nations Resident Coordinator to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Bala Nanda Sharma at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 26.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed various matters relating to further advancing the partnership between Nepal and the United Nations, including strengthening ongoing cooperation and enhancing collaboration in priority sectors.
Welcoming the new Resident Coordinator, the Foreign Minister extended his best wishes for her successful tenure in Nepal. He also assured her of the Government of Nepal’s full support in the effective discharge of her important responsibilities.
