NPI Chair Dhakal Joins UN Global Policy Dialogue in Bangkok

Kathmandu: Dr. Khagendra Raj Dhakal, Chair of the Nepal Policy Institute (NPI), took part in the UN DESA Global Policy Dialogue held on May 23, 2025, at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.

The event, themed “Converging Crises, Shared Solutions,” was attended by global experts, think tanks, and academics. United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Navid Hanif addressed the global dialogue.

The dialogue focused on using local solutions to tackle global challenges where the key topics included Asia-Pacific experiences, innovative community-based policymaking, and cross-sector cooperation.

NPI thanked the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) for hosting the event and valued the opportunity to contribute.
