PM Oli Meets World Bank MD Zhang to Discuss Investment and Development Goals

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a meeting with World Bank Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer Wencai Zhang to discuss strategies for enhancing investment and job creation in Nepal, alongside the country’s progress toward sustainable development.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked the World Bank for approving the 2025–2031 Country Partnership Framework, which outlines key areas of cooperation aimed at supporting Nepal’s economic growth, resilience, and inclusion.

He also appreciated the Bank’s continued support in helping Nepal achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its planned graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status to a developing country.
