Saudi Ambassador Meets Foreign Secretary Rai, Discusses Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments

Kathmandu: Fahd Mohammad A. Mnikhr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 3.

During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Saudi Arabia. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest and consolidating longstanding ties between the two countries.

They also reviewed the evolving situation in West Asia, with particular attention to the safety and security of Nepali citizens working in the region. Ensuring the welfare of migrant workers remained a key priority during the talks.

The Foreign Secretary appreciated the continued goodwill and support extended by the Government of Saudi Arabia and expressed confidence that bilateral relations would be further strengthened during the Ambassador’s tenure.

Ambassador Mnikhr, in turn, conveyed his best wishes for the successful holding of the upcoming elections in Nepal.
