Kathmandu: U.S. Ambassador Dean Thompson visited Gandaki Province on November 19 to meet officials from the Health Ministry, frontline healthcare workers, and patients.
The visit focused on reviewing progress and identifying priorities under the U.S.-Nepal partnership that supports Nepal’s journey toward healthcare self-reliance.
The United States reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nepal’s health sector to save lives, promote healthcare innovation and access, and build systems for long-term resilience.
According to the U.S. Embassy, stronger healthcare in Nepal benefits the wider region and contributes to health security in the United States as well.
