Kathmandu: More than 110 students from Kathmandu University School of Management took part in an interactive session with MetLife Nepal as part of the U.S.–Nepal CEO Engagement Series. The discussion focused on how digital tools, ethical decision-making, and global standards are shaping Nepal’s insurance sector.
Erica Alexander opened the program and moderated a talk with MetLife Nepal CEO Nirmal Kajee Shrestha. He explained how a U.S.-affiliated company like MetLife applies international standards of transparency, risk management, and innovation in Nepal.
Speakers highlighted the growing use of digital insurance platforms, the importance of trust and data protection, and the need for skilled workers to expand financial access and support Nepal’s digital economy. Organizers said such events help prepare young Nepali professionals for careers in modern finance while strengthening business ties between Nepal and the United States.
