Kathmandu: The U.S. Embassy in Nepal has welcomed the U.S. Women’s Cricket Team to Kathmandu as they compete in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers, bringing international attention and high-level cricket to Nepal.
Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief of the U.S. Mission, met the team and attended a friendly match between the United States and Scotland at Upper Mulpani Ground. The match highlighted the role of sports in strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties between Nepal and the United States, while inspiring young athletes through competition and teamwork.
The U.S. Embassy extended its best wishes to Team USA for success in the tournament and an exciting journey for all participating teams.
