Kathmandu: UN ECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa met with H.E. Mr. Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, Minister for Commerce of Bangladesh on July 17.
President Thapa congratulated Bangladesh on the election of H.E. Khalilur Rahman as President of the 81st UN General Assembly.
President Thapa and Minister Muktadir discussed Bangladesh’s active leadership in the High-level Political Forum, ongoing UN processes, priorities of Thapa’s Presidency, among others.
President Thapa said he looks forward to working closely with Bangladesh to deliver practical outcomes at the upcoming SDG Summit and shape the sustainable development agenda beyond 2030.
