As Nepal expands its presence in global conversations, the demand for a platform that reflects our evolving diplomatic identity has become increasingly evident. With this understanding, we are proud to present The Diplomat Nepal, the country’s first ever diplomatic magazine. This publication emerges from a simple yet powerful need: to tell Nepal’s story through the lens of diplomacy, development, and dialogue.

In recent years, diplomacy has grown beyond formal meetings and government corridors. It now touches every aspect of international engagement, culture, business, migration, education, and people-to-people ties. Yet, despite Nepal’s growing involvement in these areas, there has been no dedicated platform to capture, celebrate, and share this work. Diplomat Nepal fills that gap. It aims to showcase the important roles that embassies, diplomats, international institutions, and global partners play in shaping Nepal’s international presence.

This journey is also deeply personal. More than a decade ago, my wife and I began our diplomatic path with our daughter, Bashana, and were later joined by our son, Bihaan, along with both of our mothers. Our travels across continents, our experiences with different cultures, and our participation in diverse diplomatic environments inspired this vision. We saw first-hand how powerful stories, shared experiences, and informed dialogue can build trust and foster connection. This magazine is a reflection of that belief.

Diplomat Nepal is more than a printed publication—it is a platform for ideas to flourish and for voices to be heard. It will spotlight the efforts of diplomatic missions, share impactful stories, promote collaboration, and highlight the diverse ways diplomacy influences everyday lives. From cultural exchanges and international education to investment opportunities and humanitarian cooperation, we seek to offer readers a comprehensive look into the many dimensions of diplomacy.

As someone who has walked multiple paths—son, husband, father, farmer, entrepreneur, and now publisher—I understand the importance of creating something that adds lasting value. Diplomat Nepal is the product of that purpose. It is built on lived experience and driven by a desire to connect Nepal with the world in meaningful ways.

I extend my sincere gratitude to our contributors, partners, and readers. Together, we can build a publication that not only documents diplomatic engagement, but also inspires it.

And now, we’re proud to announce the launch of our digital platform—Diplomat Nepal Online—so our stories can reach global audiences anytime, anywhere. This marks the beginning of a new era in how Nepal engages with the world through the power of shared stories and thoughtful dialogue.
