With the festive spirit of Dashain in the air, Kathmandu’s main marketplaces are buzzing with energy, and New Road has once again emerged as the busiest shopping hub.
On Sunday, the area was flooded with eager shoppers, creating an atmosphere of excitement and celebration. Although Dashain has officially begun, holidays have not yet started for many in different sectors yet, that hasn’t stopped crowds from pouring in to shop for clothes, accessories, and festive essentials.
The newly widened sidewalks of New Road were still overflowing with people, leaving little space to stand still. The vibrant hustle and bustle reflected the anticipation and joy that Dashain brings every year, as families prepared for Nepal’s biggest festival.
