Kathmandu: The first ship of canola grains arrived at the Nepal Custom Yard, Biratnagar, from Kolkata Port via the Indian Customs Yard in Jogbani, on July 20. Following the signing of the Letter of Exchange amending the Protocol to the India-Nepal Treaty of Transit in November 2025, this marked a milestone in India-Nepal trade and connectivity.
The cross-border cargo train services will help reduce logistics costs and further boost India–Nepal trade.
