‘Nepali-US Trade and Investment Conference 2026’ Announced in New York, Emphasis on Expansion of Nepal-US Economic Cooperation

Kathmandu: Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce has announced plans to organize the ‘Nepali-American Business and Investment Conference 2026’ with the aim of bringing trade, investment, entrepreneurship, innovation and economic cooperation between Nepal and America to new heights.

According to the organizers, the conference will be held from September 25 to 27 at the JFK Marriott Hotel in New York, USA, with the slogan “Connecting capital, ideas and opportunities”.

Government representatives of Nepal and America, businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers and representatives of the Nepali diaspora from all over the world are expected to participate in the three-day conference. Organizers said that the aim of the conference is to encourage trade expansion, investment promotion, technology development and long-term economic partnership between the two countries.

Speaking at the conference announcement program, President of Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce, Pradeep Shrestha, said that the conference is a common platform to give a new dimension to economic relations between Nepal and America.

He pointed out that Nepal has a lot of potential for investment in tourism, hydropower, information technology, modern agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing industry and start-up sectors and said that the conference was organized with the aim of connecting the knowledge, experience and capital of Nepalese businessmen, investors and technology experts in the US with the economic development of Nepal.

He expressed his belief that the conference will play an important role in expanding the network, sharing experience and building strategic partnerships among Nepali entrepreneurs across America. According to him, Nepali businessmen have achieved remarkable success in restaurants, hotels, health services, information technology, real estate, construction, financial services, retail trade, education and transportation across America.

In the conference, various sessions will be held on Nepal’s investment potential, international trade, capital sharing, innovation based on artificial intelligence (AI) and connecting local businesses with the global market.

Special addresses by international and diaspora leaders, government-private sector dialogue, startup exhibition, product public event, investor networking, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, and strategic partnership meetings will be held under the program.

The registration process has also been opened by publishing the official website of the conference in the announcement program. Startups and entrepreneurs can apply to present their business, while sponsorship, exhibition and strategic partnership opportunities have also been opened, according to the organizer. Secretariat Director Dipendra Lama gave information about this, while Finance Director Pashupati Shrestha answered the questions of the participants

The conference will be organized by the Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce and with the support of the Nepali Consulate General in New York. During the announcement program, Consul General Dadhiram Bhandari expressed the opinion that such conferences will play an important role in strengthening Nepal-US economic cooperation.
