Kathmandu: H.E. Ruwanthi Delpitiya, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 9.
Ambassador Delpitiya conveyed deepest condolences and solidarity of the Goverment and people of Sri Lanka to the Government and people of Nepal at this challenging time.
The Ambassador also handed over a financial contribution of US $ 1 million from the Government of Sri Lanka to support ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts following the devastating floods.
The Foreign Minister expressed his deep gratitude to the Government and people of Sri Lanka for the solidarity and support extended to Nepal, which reflects deep-rooted friendship and mutual cooperation between the two nations.
