Kathmandu: H.E. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister for Foreign Trade of United Arab Emirates (UAE), made his official visit to Kathmandu, Nepal. During his visit, he met with the Rt. Hon. President, Ram Chandra Paudel, at the Presidential Palace, alongside UAE Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Abdhullah Al Shamsi. In the meeting, he conveyed the greetings of their leadership and discussed prospects for deepening bilateral trade and investment ties. He stated that UAE-Nepal non-oil trade grew 90.1% in 2025 to reach $438.4mn, providing a strong foundation to build on.

During the visit, UAE Minister Zeyoudi held bilateral meetings with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dol Prasad Aryal, Hon. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, Hon. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, Hon. Home Minister Sudan Gurung, and Hon. Industry and Commerce Minister Gauri Kumari, alongside senior officials and business leaders.

As part of UAE Trade Days, Minister Zeyoudi also participated in a business roundtable focused on new partnerships across hydropower, tourism, agro-processing, technology and infrastructure, converting strong bilateral momentum into tangible outcomes for both our economies.
