Kathmandu: To help the communities affected by the devastating floods, more than 40 tons of emergency relief supplies from the American humanitarian organization Samaritan’s purse arrived in Kathmandu.
The shipment includes enough water filters, tarps, blankets, hygiene kits, and solar lights to support 2600 families in flood-affected areas through local organizations working on the ground. U.S. Embassy Nepal is closely coordinating with the Government of Nepal and numerous partners to deliver life-saving assistance that matches Nepal’s needs.
