Kathmandu: Volunteers from the Nepal United States Alumni Network (NUSAN) and the U.S. Embassy family community came together to collect and deliver three trucks of essential items for Nepali families affected by the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli floods.
NUSAN ( Nepal United States Alumni Network) received and distributed two trucks of supplies to Nuwakot district on September 6. The NGO Sano Paila is traveling to Rasuwa district with the third truck despite the extremely challenging transportation conditions.
As part of the shipment, U.S. Embassy families contributed 1.5 tons of items such as food, bottled water, baby formula, bottles, diapers, antiseptic wipes, toys, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, toilet paper, bandages, masks, water purification tablets, and medicines appropriate for children as well as adults.
U.S. Embassy Nepal welcomes the spirit of service and solidarity demonstrated by the alumni of the U.S. Embassy Nepal and Embassy families in supporting Nepali communities affected by the floods.
