Kathmandu: FAO Representative for Bhutan and Nepal, Ken Shimizu, met with Director General of the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation (DWRI), Mitra Baral, to strengthen collaboration on the Water–Energy–Food nexus.
The meeting focused on irrigation modernization and climate resilience, with discussions on prioritizing year-round irrigation through digital monitoring and climate-smart water and crop management practices.
