Kathmandu: H.E. Petri Puhakka, Ambassador of Finland to Nepal, observed WFP Nepal activities in Sindhupalchowk. Riaz Lodhi, Country Representative of WFP, thanked Ambassador Puhakka for his visit and for witnessing firsthand how integrated approaches are strengthening food systems, nutrition, and livelihoods in Nepal.
Representative Lodhi emphasized that he deeply values the Embassy of Finland’s partnership and continued support to the people of Nepal through WFP. He also appreciated the Government of Nepal’s leadership in advancing Home-Grown School Feeding – linking local agriculture to school meals, boosting livelihoods.
He concluded his statement saying, “It was inspiring to see the community members producing fresh food for schools and their children enjoying hot, nutritious meals.”
