Kathmandu: H.E. Udo Volz, Ambassador of Germany to Nepal, together with the German Development Cooperation (GDC), visited EcoHimal’s Agroforestry Resource Center (ARC) in Patlekhet, Kavre. The visit to ARC showcased how sustainable agriculture truly comes to life.
Hosting over 100 seminars and cultivating vast plant diversity, the center champions Gurukul-inspired agricultural learning. By integrating indigenous knowledge EcoHimal Nepal reminds farmers that true climate resilience doesn’t require discarding the past, but rather rediscovering the time-tested, self-reliant practices that sustain our land.
Since 2009, EcoHimal Nepal has worked primarily in Nepal’s mountainous and hilly regions, establishing itself in community-based development by integrating indigenous knowledge with innovative, practical, and sustainable solutions.
The German Embassy stated that supported also by German partners, such as the BMZ, Help Alliance, Nepal Hilfe Bonn e.V., Kindermissionswerk Aachen, and Apotheker Ohne Grenzen Deutschland, among others, EcoHimal is proof that locally driven solutions create lasting global impact.
