Nepal Co-chairs Feminist Foreign Policy Plus (FFP+) Group for 2026-2027

Kathmandu: Nepal, alongside Luxembourg, assumed co-chairs of the Feminist Foreign Policy Plus (FFP+) Group for 2026-2027.

Assuming the Co-Chairship, Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the UN, underscored the FFP+ Group’s vital role in amplifying women’s voices and strengthening dialogue, partnerships, and inclusive multilateralism at the UN and beyond.

Nepal Mission to the UN stated that as co-chair, Nepal is committed to advancing the Group’s core principles by promoting gender equality, strengthening women’s leadership, ending gender-based violence, protecting the rights of women migrant workers, and advancing gender-responsive climate resilience and climate justice.

Luxembourg Mission to the UN also stated they were honored to be entrusted with this responsibility and said they look forward to working with members to promote Gender Equality and defend all rights of women and girls.
