Kathmandu: TikTok has released its Q1 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, showcasing its ongoing commitment to creating a safe digital space for its users. The report, which covers data from January to March 2026, details the proactive steps TikTok has taken to identify and remove content that violates its Community Guidelines, ensuring a positive experience for its global community.
According to the report, TikTok removed a total of 1,961,698 videos in Nepal for Community Guidelines violations, representing a 0.4% removal rate of all published videos. Proactive removal rates from January to March 2026 remained high at 99.2%, with 86.5% of these videos removed within 24 hours. Meanwhile, a total of 61,992 videos were restored in Nepal during the same period.
Globally, TikTok removed a total of 184 million (184,012,576) videos worldwide in this quarter, which represents about 0.5% of all content uploaded to the platform. Of the removed videos, 178,014,154 videos were detected and taken down using automated detection technologies, while 8,838,710 videos were reinstated after further review.
The proactive removal rate stood at 99.3%, with 94.4% of the flagged content removed within 24 hours of posting. To uphold TikTok’s integrity, in this quarter, the platform has removed 86,288,705 fake accounts, along with the additional 25,764,372 accounts that were suspected to be under the age of 13.
The latest report highlights the continued evolution of TikTok’s content moderation systems, with automated technologies now responsible for detecting and removing the vast majority of violating content.
The report also highlights evolving enforcement trends across different content formats. Video removal rates remained stable at 0.5%, while comment removal rates continued to decline, reaching approximately 0.2%. At the same time, enforcement on LIVE content increased, with the LIVE suspension rate reaching a record high of 2.7%, reflecting TikTok’s continued investment in maintaining safety during real-time interactions.
Additionally, TikTok took action on a total of 58,207,389 LIVE sessions, either by issuing warnings or demonetizing them. The platform also warned or demonetized a total of 21,966,667 LIVE creators. Following further review, 4,171,677 LIVE sessions were restored.
