Kathmandu: Male Champions gathered in Surkhet in Karnali province for a learning and sharing event to challenge harmful social norms and promote gender equality organised by UNFPA under the Empowered Women, Prosperous Nepal Programme.
The participants explored ways to dismantle gender stereotypes, prevent harmful practices such as child marriage, and promote positive masculinity within their families and communities. Local religious leaders and community representatives also developed joint action plans to sustain these initiatives with local governments.
