Kathmandu: Chen Song, Former China’s Ambassador to Nepal, has been promoted to Director General of the Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
The Policy Planning Department studies global and strategic issues, formulates diplomatic policies, drafts key documents and speeches, conducts foreign policy pronouncements, and coordinates research. It also undertakes work related to the study of China’s diplomatic history.
