Kathmandu: On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, FAO Nepal, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment (MOITFE), organized a plantation at the Forest Research and Training Center (FRTC), Geta, Kailali, in the presence of Hon. Shiv Raj Bhatta, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment.
The event brought together government representatives, development partners, youth, civil society, and community members to promote environmental conservation and climate resilience. Through plantation activities and technical discussions, participants reaffirmed their commitment to protecting ecosystems and advancing sustainable environmental action for a greener future.
